STRABAG Kunstforum Larissa Leverenz

Larissa Leverenz (Cologne 1978) studied design at the University of Applied Sciences Münster and subsequently at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. The artist paints, draws, and prints with loving detail and restrained coloring on thin, untreated wood panels so that the grain of the wood remains visible. Leverenz places the protagonists of her paintings in multi-perspectival spaces, which are interwoven prism-like with lines and often pose riddles in their construction. In the artist's wondrous pictorial worlds, technical, organic, and abstract constructs, photorealistically executed animals, and flying and dancing human figures unite to form an enigmatic pictorial cosmos. Larissa Leverenz received a recognition award of the STRABAG Artaward International 2018.
