Mária Corejová (Bratislava 1975), a graduate of Prof. Daniel Fischer’s painting school at the Academy for Arts and Design in Bratislava, has until now been known to the Slovak and international audience especially as a painter and a diligent organizer of cultural events (Burundi, 13m3). At the show she presents a striking series of new drawings. In them she combines the references to Dada and Surrealism, playfulness and irony with a subtle pathos. She experiments, analyzes, makes comments, combines and last but not least plays. Looking for unfoundable, exploring unexplorable, articulating unexpressable. Juraj Carný
