The STRABAG Kunstforum artist-in-residence program offers artists of the STRABAG Artcollection, and former and current winners of the STRABAG Artaward, the opportunity to use the STRABAG Artstudio as their working studio for several months. STRABAG Kunstforum supports the exchange among artists, strengthening international cooperation and cultural networking between them. In this way, it makes a contribution to new art from across Europe. From its inception in 2009, more than thirty Austrian and international artists have been invited to work in this stimulating, collaborative atmosphere and to feed their experiences of Vienna into their artistic practice.

Prizewinners use the opportunity to prepare their solo exhibition in the STRABAG Artlounge. In addition, long-standing STRABAG Artcollection artists repeatedly return to the STRABAG Artstudio to work on current works and projects. A total of five workspaces and three living spaces are available.
