In Waltraud Palme's (Vienna 1959) works there is a serial arrangement and sequence of things, which is generated from her interest in collecting, ordering, structuring and building up different elements of form. For the artist, the primary focus is on exploring the possibilities of not only combining forms, but also developing them anew and exploring their effect on the viewer. In doing so, the play with ambiguous ways of viewing and ordering is essential. In addition to painting, the artist also uses other means of expression and media, such as drawing and photography. Waltraud Palme lives and works in Vienna and Lower Austria. In 1997 she received a Bauholding Kunstförderpreis, the predecessor of today's STRABAG Artaward.
